Harper’s Bazaar reunites with Jaguar for bespoke Bazaar Art magazine and event during Frieze London
Harper’s Bazaar UK has announced the return of its annual Bazaar Art standalone publication and annual art party, in partnership with Jaguar.
The special edition goes on sale to coincide with the start of Frieze London. The issue will be distributed at the prestigious art fair and feature four bespoke covers that celebrate female collectors, curators and changemakers.
The quartet of visionary artists featured on the covers include:
Sam Taylor-Johnson, whose striking self-portrait Suspended in Stone explores illusion and endurance
Cindy Sherman, the pioneering photographer renowned for her transformative self-portraiture
Chila Kumari-Burman, whose vibrant, joyful works celebrate identity, memory and popular culture
Renée Levi, the acclaimed Swiss painter, whose anticipated UK debut is celebrated in the issue
Elsewhere, the issue will feature a striking portfolio of photographs with actor James Norton, Director of the British Museum Nicholas Cullinan, and artist Lubaina Himid, alongside the works of art that inspire them. Across the edition, readers will also find exclusive interviews with leading artists, essays from Maria Balshaw, Jo Baring and Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, a celebration of the winners of Jaguar’s Art Prize, and curated edits of the best artist-designed products and art-themed books to buy now.
The launch of the four collectable issues will be celebrated at an exclusive event at Mark’s Club in Mayfair, London, this evening. The occasion will welcome illustrious guests to recognise pioneers from the worlds of art, fashion and film. The party will also be supported by Ruinart.
Lydia Slater, Editor-in-Chief of Harper’s Bazaar UK, said: “Bazaar Art is our annual celebration of the artists, ideas and cultural conversations shaping the creative landscape today. This year’s edition brings together extraordinary voices whose work challenges convention, inspires new ways of seeing the world and demonstrates the enduring connection between art, fashion and culture. We are delighted to once again partner with Jaguar and to mark this special issue during Frieze London.”
Bazaar Art, in partnership with Jaguar, is distributed with the November issue of Harper’s Bazaar, on sale now.
